About Professor Suzuki Akira

Professor Suzuki and The "Jump System"

After graduating university in Japan, Mr. Akira Suzuki initially started working in Japan. However, his passion to learn the different perspectives of the world led him to save enough money to come to the United States to pursue his masters. It was very rare for a Japanese person to leave the country to live elsewhere at that time.

While pursuing his masters in the United States, Mr. Suzuki started to teach Japanese to support himself. He soon found that this was his calling and began to perfect his skills at teaching. His skills were quickly recognized by professor Elena Jordan at Cornell university and received an invitation to teach there.

Professor Jordan's teaching methodologies at Cornell University were a eye opener for Mr. Suzuki. He learned various new methods as he scrapped and updated his own methods. These new and sophisticated methodology led to the foundation of what is called the "Jump System" today.

The Jump System is the combination of teaching methods that looks at learning Japanese from various different angles. Unlike traditional learning, this system enables you to learn Japanese much quickly enabling students to gain a deep understanding of the grammar. However, the Jump System is by no means complete. It keeps evolving with time as Mr. Suzuki discovers new information and insights. The Jump System would enable students to gain a strong foundation in the Japanese language.
